TEAM BUILDING • ALL AGES & ABILITIES • OLYMPIC EXPERIENCE
“Thank you for helping to make our event so great! Everything went off without a hitch! Our team was a little hesitant about curling when we surprised them with the task, but by the end there was a lot of talk about coming back or forming a team! It also added a lot of positive energy to the seminar!”~ Rachel, Lakewinds Food Co-Op
“A HUGE thank you for all of your efforts for making our sales meeting/event a huge success. Everyone had a wonderful time and couldn’t have asked for better instructors and service in the restaurant and throughout the entire facility. I know you will be seeing some our employees again as they are curling converts. I would recommend you to anyone seeking a unique event and from a planning standpoint, everything is right there within walking distance, so it is very nice.” ~ Gioia S, NaviLogic

More Information
Group size can range from 10-48 (teams of 4- traditional curling teams have 4 ppl/team) or 60 (teams of 5) participants. Many groups will rent the EVENT CENTER and use it for catering or meeting space. This allows a nice break/split sessions- everyone is staying engaged in something, whether curling, meeting, or eating!
Curling is played 4 against 4. Games can be modified if you have a team of 3 (or even 5). To save time, have your teams or tournaments set prior to arriving. Typically one team will play another team for the entire duration and you will get about 5 or 6 ends in (each end, like an inning in baseball, takes about 15-20 minutes). If you are running a tournament or want to play different opponents, note that a “game” will probably be one or two ends.
Slips and falls, although very rare, can happen. Wearing dress shoes increases the risk of a fall. We stress the importance of carrying in clean athletic shoes. This helps keep our ice clean and you safe.
Participants must sign a waiver form prior to stepping on the ice.
Dress for Your Curling Event
- Bring along a clean pair of clean-on-the-bottom athletic shoes. Carry them in, do not wear them in. It is extremely important to keep the ice clean. No leather soled shoes or metal lace hooks.
- Dress comfortably. Jeans are difficult – wear loose fitting/stretchy clothes as you will be in lunge positions.
- The curling arena is about 40°F. Consider a hat, gloves and a warm jacket or hoodie.
